Clepher’s Rebrand: Dodging Meta’s “No-No List” in Style!
In a twist of tech, Clever Messenger is trading its name for Clepher, thanks to Meta’s “no-no list” blacklisting the word “Messenger.” The new look isn’t just about dodging bullets, but seizing the chance to realign, rebrand, and resonate. We started in 2016 as a simple chatbot tool for Messenger, but we’re so much more than that now. We had to say goodbye to “Clever Messenger” at some point as it no longer aligned with our identity. Fortunately, this rebrand was planned in Q4 of 2023 already, and due to Meta putting “Messenger” in their “no-no list”, we pulled it forward to Q3.

This rebrand is a big opportunity to step up our game and go all-in on innovation revolving around messaging, chatbots, and AI. First, choosing “Clepher” wasn’t a random shot in the dark. It was a deliberate, strategic move that followed careful thought and consideration.
